Booklogged tagged me for this easy photo meme. I don't do memes that often, but this one was quick and fun. I had every intention of posting it on my "Occasional Other Stuff" blog, but you'll see why I ended up posting it here instead . . .
The rules are simple - post the 4th picture in the 4th file of your 'My Pictures' folder. As I said, the intention was to not post it on my book blog, but when I checked the 4th picture in the 4th folder it turned out to be a picture of my bookshelves!
I took this a couple of years ago so some of the books have changed - old ones sold to Powells or donated somewhere and just as many (or more) new ones have replaced them, but it still pretty much looks the same.
I'm not much of a meme participant, so I'm not going to officially tag anyone, but if you're reading this and want to participate, consider yourself tagged.

No stars – I couldn’t even finish it
1 star – I didn’t like it but I managed to finish it.
2 stars – It was OK. Not good, but seriously just OK.
3 stars - I liked it. I didn’t think it was great, but I thought it was good entertainment.
4 stars – I really liked it. I really think you might like it too.
5 stars – It was amazing. I’d recommend this to just about anyone.

I'm not sure what it is, but I always love to see shelves of books. :)
So, you're reading an O'Farrell book. I'm interested in your thoughts on it. She is another author I haven't gotten to . . . yet!
Aww, memories :)
I had such fun perusing through your bookshelves and finding out just how many more things we had in common!
BTW - my 4th folder only has one picture in it - of me and Andie at Bahama Breeze in Orlando this summer!
Just seeing shelves loaded with books makes me smile.
Joy: it's almost like a picture of the feeling of anticipation to me. It's always fun to see books you have on someone else's shelf.
Mel: I love Bahama Breeze - the closest one her is in the Seattle area.
Mary: me too!
I'm glad you did this meme. It's fun to see your picture. Any kind of shelf or table with books on is delightful. Your bookcase is beautiful. I now have a little room off our living room for a library and I can't wait to get bookcases in there and start piling my books on them.
You know I love the books, but I would also love to know what wine from that wine bottle!
;-)
That's the bottle of Dom Perignon that we drank for the New Year in 2000.
(it wasn't nearly as good as the Perrier-Jouet that we normally get for champagne worthy celebrations)
Suzi,
I love your bookcase!!! I'm with Joy, I love seeing shelves of books! I can't wait to see your review of The vanishing act of Esme Lennox. It was one of my favorite books last year! It's different, with quirky characters and a fascinating story. I loved her writing style. Not all people do, I hope that you like it! Make sure to check out the authors website as she talks about how she got the idea for the book. It's amazing that what happened in the book is based on real life experiences.
I never tag anyone, either.
How fun that your photo just happened to be bookshelves!! Nice shelves, too. :)
Booklogged: sorry I missed you on the last post. Thanks for tagging me on this one. It was fun.
Bonnie: I loved Esme Lennox!
Bookfool: It was kind of funny - I had every intention of posting this on my other blog, but when the picture turned out to be books - it had to go here.
Really love your book shelf! Wish I had space in my apartment for one as big as your :)
MsUlat: we knew right away that the 3rd bedroom in our house would be the 'library'. It took us a while to find the right shelves. Now I just have to weed them out periodically when they get too full.
I love your bookshelves! Seeing so many books all together always makes me happy. :)
Bookish Ruth: it's like a whole wall of possibilities, isn't it?
