We spent last week over at Yachats on the Oregon coast. We had a great little house right on the ocean for a week of relaxing, reading, and ocean watching.
The weather was pretty good. We had several days that were cloudy and almost stormy in the morning but cleared up in the afternoon. We also had a couple of days that were just clear and sunny too.
I was serious about that 'right on the ocean' stuff. This is the view from the window by my reading couch.

It doesn't matter if it's a little stormy

or if the sun is shining, the view captivates me. It's a place I go to clear my head and just enjoy being.

If the weather cooperates the sunsets on the Pacific can be amazing.

I've got lots of pictures, so there will be more coming soon.

I'll be looking forward to seeing more pictures!
Absolutely beautiful! Would love to see more!
Nice pics, love the sunset (and the bird)!
I think that's where I need to go, right now. Wow. Gorgeous!
Lori: more tomorrow ;-)
Debbie: thanks!
Mary: I took a ton of sunset pictures. I've learned to just keep taking pictures and wait to be surprised when I download them to the computer. This one with the bird made me smile.
Bookfool: I thing you coming here to visit me sounds like an excellent idea!!
Suzi-what beautiful pics! I love the ocean and the sunsets! Thanks for wishing me a Happy Anniversary the other day over on my Blog!
Sherri: Oh thank you!! I just love being on the coast.
I am eating my heart out right now. Golly, it's beautiful and so peaceful looking. Candleman and I stayed in a B&B just south of Yachats on one of our Oregon visits. We tried to find the same B&B when we came last Oct. but it's no longer operating as a B&B. :( It was a highlight because we were there at a really good low tide and saw so many tide pools. Beautiful!
I love your pictures. Sounds like the perfect vacation. And you don't have to drive clear across Nevada to get to the ocean. Lucky! Look forward to hearing about what you've been reading between captivating views of the ocean and cute baby seagulls.
Booklogged: it was an incredibly peaceful and relaxing vacation. The area around Yachats is so nice. Glad you like the pictures.
Boy, did you stay in a fabulous place! My parents are within walking distance to the bluffs, but not right on them. I would love to stay in a little beach house like this one.
Gorgeous sunset!!
And I haven't had a chance to tell her, but I love seeing Bookfool's old avitar. :)
Les: thanks. I've learned that with sunsets - just keep taking the pictures because what ends up can sometimes look very different and a lot of the time - even better once I download the picture. We've stayed at this house 3 years in a row now - just love the view. And yes - it is nice to see that Bookfool avatar! One of my all time favorites.
