Wordless Wednesday #35
>> Wednesday, June 2, 2010
I'm committing a minor violation of the "Wordless" part to say that it was this shot I took this past Sunday on the Auto setting that made me completely fall in love with my new camera.
No stars – I couldn’t even finish it
1 star – I didn’t like it but I managed to finish it.
2 stars – It was OK. Not good, but seriously just OK.
3 stars - I liked it. I didn’t think it was great, but I thought it was good entertainment.
4 stars – I really liked it. I really think you might like it too.
5 stars – It was amazing. I’d recommend this to just about anyone.| Blog: |

I don't mind admitting I'm hating on you a little.
Great shot!
Excellent! Am very happy for you on the new camera!
Oh, you should fall in love with the camera! Such radiant color and sharp focus! You have a winner!
Very nice shot, not a photo-pro or anything, but a macro setting is great for such upclose shots!
Ooooh, Q, that is beyond awesome! Makes me want to update my camera equipment. Half of my lenses have broken, in recent years (guess that's what you get for sticking with the same company through three incarnations and only changing out the camera bodies). You're going to have some fun with that baby!
What did April's comment mean, btw? Can you translate?
Thanks everyone - I was totally blown away when I downloaded the first batch of photos from the new camera. This thing is going to get a lot of use.
April: My old camera had a manual button to switch to macro mode for close ups, but the great thing that I love about this camera is that the auto setting made that switch all on it's own when I get close enough to the subject.
Bookfool: did that help?
Beautiful shot. Each individual petal shows through so good and is very detailed!
No, actually, I have no idea what "it's not photo pro or anything" means. I understand macro settings and it sounds like your new camera makes switching to macro super easy. My lens with macro (now deceased . . . a moment of silence, please) had a button that you pushed forward and then you turned the lens to shift from general focus (2 feet and beyond, I think) to macro, so I can appreciate the convenience.
Angie: thank you!
Bookfool: I'm unclear on that part of April's comment too so unless she pops back in, it's a mystery. Sorry about the demise of your lens :-(
Wow!!! I love the clarity. Great job.
nice capture!
Outstanding shot! Frame & Hang! :)
