Weekend Update September 2, 2012

Since my last update:
Well I’m not sure what happened to my reading time this week but clearly there was not enough of it I’m still reading and listening to the same books I was last weekend.
In print, I’m reading The Absent One by Jussi Adler-Olsen. I’m really reading the UK Edition entitled “Disgrace” but still the same story. I’m enjoying it but would really like to get some major reading time over the next few days so I can really immerse myself in it.
On audio I’m on the second to the last CD of Guardian of the Horizon by Elizabeth Peters. I may finish this one up sometime this week. As usual I’m loving Amelia Peabody and the that are told from the perspectives of the younger family members. This has been a fun installment of the series that revisits characters and locations from an earlier book,
Other than books and reading:
I know part of my reading time has been replaced with cleaning, sorting and reorganizing closets and storage. We’re having the carpeting and flooring in our house redone later this month and have to be able to pretty much empty out everything over a three day period. It’s a lot of prep work but in all honesty after 14 years in this house sorting out some of the ‘stuff’ we’ve collected over the years is a good thing. I need to remember to get my ipod and plug in my audiobook while I’m working on this stuff.
I thoroughly enjoy college football and have missed it since January. Yesterday was a perfect early season football weather kind of day and it was great to be back with our tailgating and football fan friends.
Hope you’re having a great weekend.

No stars – I couldn’t even finish it
1 star – I didn’t like it but I managed to finish it.
2 stars – It was OK. Not good, but seriously just OK.
3 stars - I liked it. I didn’t think it was great, but I thought it was good entertainment.
4 stars – I really liked it. I really think you might like it too.
5 stars – It was amazing. I’d recommend this to just about anyone.

I am so jealous of those seats you have. Ours are ridiculously high up - upper-deck level and five rows from the top at that. Still, there is something about a college stadium on game day that is electrifying no matter where you sit. Have fun this season!
Michelle: we used to sit up higher but when they rebuilt our side of the stadium we got separated from the two other couples we used to sit with - they put us in three different sections. We got moved down closer but pretty much the same yard line we were on before. We're in row 16 now which I like - high enough to see but not too high. I agree - the atmosphere in a college stadium on game day is great! Hope y'all have a good season. You can start with trouncing Oregon State next week, OK? ;-)
Ha! I will gladly trounce Oregon State for you. Unfortunately, our defense better get their act together first. We're afraid it is going to be a long season.
