Where in the World Are You Reading is a monthly themed Meme jointly hosted by Trish at Love, Laughter and a Touch of Insanity, Lisa at Books. Lists. Life. and Kailana at The Written World.
Click on any of the links for the posta that explain the details of the Meme. It's never too late to join in so please consider doing so.
Lisa is this month's host so here is her explanation of this month's theme and a link to her post:
This month's theme is a fun one, almost a free form one. This month we want to see where you read while you are waiting. Waiting rooms, oil changes, waiting for the water to boil? Everyone waits for something and I know you all keep books around for any chance to pick it up. So, take a quick picture of where you're waiting and link up!
I do most of my waiting reading on the way to and from work on the three days a week that I work downtown.
I leave my car at the park and ride lot and take a 20 minute light rail ride into town. Sitting or standing and reading is much better than fighting traffic in ny car.
I usually don't have to wait that long for a train but it's defnitely reading time.
Then of course the ride itself qualifies as waiting because it's waiting to arrive at my stop.
Reading is definitely a popular activity among my fellow rail commuters.

No stars – I couldn’t even finish it
1 star – I didn’t like it but I managed to finish it.
2 stars – It was OK. Not good, but seriously just OK.
3 stars - I liked it. I didn’t think it was great, but I thought it was good entertainment.
4 stars – I really liked it. I really think you might like it too.
5 stars – It was amazing. I’d recommend this to just about anyone.

You went above and beyond and took pictures of other people! Bravo! Thanks for joining us.
Great pictures! Thanks for joining in. :)
LIsa: I'm always trying to see what my fellow commuters are reading on the train. It's kind of part of my routine so I figured I's share.
Kailana: thanks - I'm having fun with this meme..
I love that you took pictures of other people reading on the train. I tried to do that in the summer while we were on vacation in London, but I was afraid people wouldn't like what I was doing so I chickened out and stopped. I then tried to just keep a list of the books I saw people reading, but I didn't keep up with that either. Oh well.. it was still fun seeing what people read on the train.. although ereaders make it tricky. ;)
btw most of the men I spied on the tube reading were reading fantasy. The women read a mixture of fantasy and popular women's fiction including quite a view sightings of 50 Shades.
I love the pictures of other people reading. I always try to catch a glimpse of other people's books, but sometimes it is difficult to do it discretely. :-)
I LOVE all the pictures you included of other people. I don't do public transit (stupid Dallas) but I always love seeing all of the people reading at the airport or on planes. So awesome.
Love that first picture looking down onto the subway!
Thanks for joining Miss SuziQ.
Christine: I was able to get the photos without people noticing and I was careful to crop them so no faces were posted. I'm always trying to see what my fellow commuters are reading.
Amy; thanks - clearly reading is the preferred activity on the train whille waiting to arrive at your stop.
Trish: see - we all do it - gotta find out what the folks around us are reading. That first photo is at the park and ride lot where I leave my car. Yeah - Dallas isn't much for public transit - I went to college in Irving.
