Where in the World Are You Reading is a monthly themed Meme jointly hosted by Trish at Love, Laughter and a Touch of Insanity, Lisa at Books. Lists. Life. and Kailana at The Written World.

Where in the World Are You Reading

Click on any of the links for the posts that explain the details of the Meme. It's never too late to join in so please consider doing so.

Kailana is this month's host so here is her explanation of this month's theme and a link to her post:
This months topic is 'Reading Companion'. You can interpret that any way you wish. I suggested it because I am constantly taking pictures of my furry reading companion laying on my books so I can't read them and have to pay attention to her.

I can take this month's topic a couple of ways.
On my train ride to wor my reading companions are all the other readers on the train.
train readingtrain reading
train readingtrain reading

I used these same photos for the waiting reading topic but they apply for this month too.

At home my reading companions are the cats.
Howie the book holder
Howie is a lap cat and makes a perfect holder for my nook or a trade paperback and some hardcovers. He can pretty much sleep through anything.

Abby reads over my shoulder

Abby's not much of a lap cat but her kitty condo is right next to my chair and she's usually close by when I'm reading.

Check out the link to Kailana's post above and join in on this fun monthly meme.

Kailana; thanks - I had fun with it

Softdrink: He's a good book buddy

Uniflame: thanks!

Great photos! Don't you just LOVE spotting people reading books out in the world? Like on the bus, train or in a waiting room? I love trying to figure out what book they're reading--or whether it is from a library. The downside of ereaders is that it makes book peeking so difficult! ;-)

LOL! I've used my cats as book/ipad holders before too! Just a little something for them to earn their keep, right?

LOL! I love that Howie serves as a book rest for you. Maggie always wanted to rub her head on the corner of my book so I'd have to scoot her further away from my book.

Don't you love seeing people reading in transit? Always makes me happy.

I love your thought about the fellow train riders being your reading companions. That's awesome.

Christine: I do love snooping on other readers to see what they're reading. I've had several good conversations about books with my fellow train commuters. Ereaders do make that tough.

Trish: Howie is a good book rest because when sleeps in your lap he doesn't move much.

Melissa: they really are.

Thanks for reading. Feel free to leave a comment. I read and respond them here although not always right away. If you would prefer an email response let me know.
